China is expected to produce 6.9 million tons of beef (in carcass equivalent) in 2021, according to information released by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Gain Report. The volume should be above the 6.78 million tons expected for this year. The country should import 2.7 million tons of beef next year, surpassing the 2.6 million tons expected for 2020. The forecast is that domestic consumption will be 9.580 million tons next year, above 9.365 million tons expected for 2020.
