Black bean seasonality to take advantage from early rain

According to the most recent climate outlook, a scenario with above-average rainfall conditions is expected in Central America. In Guatemala, a scenario above normal is expected for the North Transversal Strip region. According to the preliminary model for the seasonal forecast of quarterly precipitation for May-July 2021, the highest accumulated rainfall is expected. This strongly benefits black bean planting. This has enabled several farmers to move an average of 3 weeks ahead of the planting season by taking advantage of the early rains and moisture in the soil.
