Brazil temporarily lowers import tariff on frozen sardines

Camex Resolution No. 58/12 published and renewed by July this year in the Federal Official Gazette, determining a temporary reduction of the ad valorem rate of the Import Tax on frozen sardines (NCM 0303.53.00), from 10% to 2%, by 180 days, limited to a 60 thousand tons quota.
This was approved by the Executive Management Committee of the Foreign Trade Chamber (Gecex), ad referendum of the Council of Ministers of the Foreign Trade Chamber (Camex).
