Brazilian Fruit exports perform well in 2020 despite the pandemic

Fruit exports from Brazil were not immensely affected by the outbreak of a pandemic. The volume of fruits exported surpassed the average exports of the last five years. Brazilian fruit exporters were benefited by an increase in demand due to raising the importance of quality food. The competing countries were facing many problems related to logistics, infections and national lockdown. An appreciation in the dollar against the real created a perfect scenario for exporters. Exporters managed to lower the average price in dollars, without taking losses.
