Broccoli with high nutritional value is being cultivated in Joypurhat. Farmers are inclined to produce this vegetable as it is profitable to produce it, which looks like cauliflower. Broccoli cultivation is similar to cabbage or cauliflower. However, the profit margin is much higher in Broccoli cultivation. According to Kawran Bazar wholesalers, the price of broccoli in the market is a little higher than the price of cauliflower. Cauliflower is sold for USD 0.17-0.23 per piece, whereas broccoli is currently being sold for USD 0.35 per piece in the retail market. Therefore, Broccoli cultivation is more profitable.
