Burkina Faso's shea exports increase by 15%

Burkina Faso the world's second-largest producer of shea kernels has increased shea export by 15% from the development of the value chain. Some of the developments include the rise of organic shea butter, the switch from manual churning to mechanical churning, the automation of tasks, and a reduction of at least 15% in working time. Burkina Faso now meets the standards for impurities and with the oil and cream and their major export destinations for shea butter are France, Ghana, Malaysia, the Netherlands, and Germany.
