There is a considerable decrease in the production volume of organic citrus in California, and some varieties are down by as much as 20% to 40% compared to the average volume. The major reason is the weather, as this summer, California was hit with extreme heat during the blooming season, affecting the total number of fruits per tree. This summer was the hottest summer on record for California. Despite the supply volume being affected, growers are currently harvesting high-quality fruit, with high domestic demand and no important shortage.
