The Canadian honey industry has grown to over 10,000 beekeepers and $1 billion in production and their products are known around the world for their quality. In addition to international standards, the Honey Regulation of the Canadian Agricultural Products ensures that both processors, importers, and exporters adhere to the strict standards. In addition to being used alone or as a food additive, Canadian honey is also used in candlemaking, diet supplement, cosmetics, and skin products in the form beeswax, protein-rich pollen, propolis, and royal jelly.
