Canadian yellow pea prices have risen fairly significantly since the late summer/early fall harvest on the Canadian Prairies. Prices have reached the $8.25-$8.50/bushel range in the early part of 2021 compared to $6.50-$6.75/bushel when harvested. Increased Indian demand is a strong factor in the rise as well as some speculation that planted acres will drop this year.
