Decreased Cassava Production in Thailand for 2023 Due to Crop Damage

Cassava production in 2023 will be cut from 34.98M tons to 31.7M tons due to yield damage from floods, blight, and drought, although prices are expected to rise further. Buyers from Turkey and the Philippines continue to buy, and it plans to enter target markets such as China, the European Union, Turkey, New Zealand, India, South Korea, Japan, Indonesia, the Philippines, and Saudi Arabia. The price of Fresh cassava is USD 0.098/kg (THB 3.25/kg), higher than in the same period in 2022.
