China prohibits imports of lobsters from South Africa

China had banned imports of lobsters from South Africa, and this caused a catastrophic collapse in local prices as most of the production originally had been exported to China. South African exporters would have to diversify export markets to get through this problem in the 2021 season, which starts in November.
