In Sep-23, China emerged as the leading importer of Vietnamese cashew nuts, doubling its spending compared to the same period in 2022. The export value to China surged to USD 73.2 million, reflecting a 107.6% year-on-year (YoY) increase. Vietnam achieved an overall export of 56.8 thousand tons of cashew nuts in Sep-23, generating a turnover of USD 310 million. Over the first nine months of 2023, cashew exports totaled 452.6 thousand tons, showcasing an 18.8% increase in quantity and a 13.5% increase in value compared to 2022. Cashew kernels have become the third-fastest-growing commodity in the agricultural sector.
