The imported volume of mutton in China peaked in January 2022 and started a downward trend to the lowest volume in June with 24K MT. In September, the imported volume of mutton reached 29K MT for USD 150M (CNY 1.1B), an increase of 7.67% MoM from August 2022. The average price remained at a low level of USD 4.9K/MT (CNY 36.4K/MT), being 11% lower than the highest price in 2022 of USD 5.5K (CNY 40.9K/MT).
