Coffee imports fall Worldwide during the first semester 2020

During the first semester 2020, coffee purchases worldwide fell 3.8% when compared to the same period 2019 with a total purchase of US $ 14.07 billion. The most important importers were United States (21.5% share) and Germany (12.8% share).

The US imported a total of US $ 3,028 million (+1.4% more than in 2019). It`s main suppliers were Brazil (18.2% share) and Colombia (17.9% share). Brazil exported to the United States US$ 551 million (+4.5% more than in 2019), while Colombia exported US $ 541 million (-4.7% less).

Germany, imported US $ 1,808 million (+10.3% more than in 2019). Brazil (26.1% share) and Honduras (12.5 share). Their exports where US $ 472 million and US $ 223 million, respectively and in compared to 2019.
