Low temperature during daytime and night frost were major issues of the last week of February 2022 in Greece, and this scenery is also projected till the first half of March according to weather prediction. Vegetable production is underdeveloped in South Greece, and installation of new plants for the spring and summer market is delayed in North Greece.

There is a market shortage in leafy vegetables also cruciferous vegetables including cabbage, broccoli, and cauliflower—still, high-cost hold importers to buy only the minimum necessities and hold the gap in supply. Local weather effects and war in East Europe boost price inflation of vegetables in the Greek market.
