The price of chilled pasteurized crabmeat (species: portunus pelagicus) in Indonesia is declining in W25. The demand for the product has been declining as many major US buyers have already accumulated sufficient inventory for the summer sales. As a result, there is less urgency for them to make additional purchases, leading to a drop in demand. US buyers have placed orders in April-May 2023 and are waiting for the product to arrive in the coming week. Thus, prices of Indonesian crabmeat stood at USD 7.7-21.5/lb CFR US seaports, a decrease from the previous week at USD 9.50-22.50/lb for each grade or specification.
