Due to market demand, there has been a decline in output and uptake of coconut sugar factories in Indonesia since the beginning of 2022. New export orders in the last couple of months were not enough to push factories back to their full capacity. Several producers were obliged to alternate scheduling production halts. The output of coconut sugar nectar has also declined since the start of the rainy season due to farmers' decreasing productivity.
