Severe power shortages took place in most of China's provinces, causing a significant drop in the operating capacity of confectionery factories. Accordingly, production for cashew kernels has been slowed down.

The demand for cashew kernels in China for the coming last months of 2021 will not grow as expected. However, the demand is expected to bounce back during the Lunar New Year season.
