Dried apricot prices continuously increasing in the local market

The dried apricot market is getting tougher day by day, especially for the exporter. The current market price for mixed quality products (oversize 4) is being sold at TRY 85 per kg at a local market called Şire Bazaar. It is expected to increase to TRY 95 per kg by the end of Week 2. Some exporters could buy the same sized products at TRY 25-30 per kg in last August 2021, while others could not. This caused severe price disparity between exporters. Some producers and exporters even stated that their facility is currently being operated at a low capacity due to the price of raw materials in the market.
