The majority of lentil production is in the Southeastern Anatolia region, and the red lentil planting process has been completed in Turkey. Unfortunately, dry soil conditions are affecting the area. Due to the droughts and air frost, harvest might not meet the expectations as the soil moisture affects the growth of lentils. The weather and soil conditions until the harvest period in May, are critical.
