In the Sittaung region of Myanmar, the drought and high temperature have decreased the production of black sesame. Normally, one acre produces 180-250 kg of sesame. But some sesame plants died in July due to high temperature, and thus it only produced an average of 60-80 kg per acres. The market price also increased from MMK 45,000 to MMK 65,000 per 25 kg.
