Export of ground black pepper increased sharply despite decrease in overall pepper exports

In the first 8 months of 2020, exports of pepper decreased by 7.4% in volume and nearly 20% in value over the same period in 2019. But exports of ground black pepper increased by more than 36% in volume and by more than 24% in value over the same period in 2019. Notably, the export of ground black pepper to Germany increased by nearly 354% and Chile increased by 273.3%.
