Export status of Vietnamese squid and octopus

According to Seafood Export and Processing Association (VASEP), Vietnam's squid and octopus exports in 2020 will reach about 523 million USD. It decreases by about 9% compared to 2019. In September this year, the export of squid and octopus increased in the four markets, which are South Korea, ASEAN, EU, China, and only decreased in Japan. Korea is still the largest import market for squid and octopus from Vietnam, accounting for nearly 41% of the total export value of this item of Vietnam to markets. In September, the export of squid and octopus to Korea increased by 31.2% to 20.2 million USD. Besides that, China is still Vietnam's import market for squid and octopus with the most stable demand in the first nine-month of this year.
