Peruvian quinoa prices have been low for the last 2-3 years, and farmers are dissatisfied with the situation. Farmers expect prices to increase due to the drought in Peru and a yield decline. These expectations may lead farmers to be reluctant to sell the crop under future contracts or immediately after harvest. In the market, companies expect an increase of around 10%.
