A large Polish supplier of french fries offered new prices from the current potato crop in W35 following a shortage of potatoes in Q2 2022. In W35, french fries were trading at USD 1,10/kg EXW compared to the previously quoted prices in Q1 2022 of USD 0,64/kg EXW. The primary reasons for the price increase are high production costs, especially concerning fertiliser, fuel, and electricity costs, as well as surging inflation levels.
