Fresh tomato, cucumber and pepper prices are down by 30%

While Turkey's fruit and vegetable exports to the region were also affected by the Russia-Ukraine war, this situation caused the prices of cucumbers, tomatoes, and peppers to drop by up to 30 % in the domestic market. Usually, these months are when the cost of greenhouse products is high. Head of Association of Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Wholesalers stated that exporters must create alternative markets for these products, not tied to a single call. Some trucks are on the way right now, and they will also turn around. In WK 10, the decrease in prices will be more pronounced. These are fresh products; they must be sold as soon as possible. Otherwise, they will be a total loss.
