After weak and atypical ginger exports in Brazil this year, ginger exporters in the Espírito Santo region saw a jump in exports from W40 to W42. Official data is not yet available, but allegedly almost a hundred containers have been exported primarily destined to Rotterdam, despite the season being practically over. The increase in exports is attributed to the end of the Chinese supply. Forecasts indicate that the price of Brazilian ginger will increase in the second half of October as demand is high.
