The strike began on Wednesday, December 9th at 6 AM local time, and was supposed to last 24 hours. Nevertheless, since both parties could not come to a wage agreement, the strike is still ongoing. In addition to blocking the activity of exporters and curbing the entry of foreign currency, the strike in the grain ports that two unions are carrying out is causing problems for producers in the middle of the barley and wheat harvest. Losses are estimated in over USD 200M.
