Hazardous Algae Explosion phenomenon in Tebrau Strait

After a warning notice on August 30 about the appearance of HAB (dangerous algae explosion phenomenon) of the species alexandrium minutum in the Straits of Tebrau, people began to hesitate to buy fish and shellfish from the market. However, local people can still buy shellfish from the area where the incident was not affected directly. The price of seafood such as shellfish and fish is not expected to change as the HAB is only temporary.
