Hazelnut Prices in Sakarya, Turkey Remain Considerably Low in Private Trade

The Turkish Grain Board (TMO) announced their purchase price of hazelnut on August 25 with a yield ratio of 50% for USD 2.79/kg. However, the purchase price of the private traders for the same quality of the hazelnut from the Sakarya region in W43 remains considerably low at USD 2.31/kg. Until W43, TMO has purchased 150,000 MT of hazelnuts from growers, and the purchases are expected to continue until the end of December.
