The surge in demand, especially from China for sizes 180 and 210, is causing challenges for Turkish nut producers who do not have sufficient supply. This situation is expected to persist until new crop products arrive from Africa to processors by the end of 2023. Therefore, Turkish buyers opt for smaller sizes like 240 and 320, which are more easily accessible in the market compared to the larger sizes.
