Orange and Ponkan Tangerine Prices Continued to Rise in W21 in Brazil

Prices of fresh oranges continued to rise during W21. With a confirmed low production forecast for the 2024/25 season, many producers limited the supply of oranges, driving up prices. The average price of oranges reached USD 0.19 per box of 40.80 kilograms (kg) in W21, marking a slight increase of 0.91% week-on-week (WoW). Similarly, prices for Ponkan tangerines also increased. Despite a consistent supply, the lower volume of available oranges boosted the value of Ponkan tangerines, which were negotiated at an average of USD 11.29 per box of 27 kg, reflecting a significant increase of 20.91% WoW.
