The current law on plant quarantine provides for a period in which the owner must pay for laboratory tests of products imported into Russia. But this period ends on January 1, 2021. Thus, further tests would have to be carried out at the expense of the Russian side.
In order to prevent such a situation and support Russian manufacturers, the State Duma of Russia adopted an amendment, according to which this rule will be valid indefinitely.
Now the owners of regulated products, when delivering them to the territory of Russia, will conduct laboratory tests of samples at their own expense on an ongoing basis.
