Vietnam is urged to focus on branding to elevate the competitiveness and global presence of its agricultural products. Despite agriculture being a crucial sector, with 11 export items generating over USD 1 billion each and a 79% increase in exports in Jan-24, most Vietnamese agricultural exports are unbranded primary commodities. Experts emphasize the importance of developing recognizable brands, advocating for establishing stable, traceable supply chains, and suggesting collaboration between local farms and companies. Additionally, there's a call for securing brand registrations abroad and innovating in seed technology.
