Surge in Demand for Indonesian Mangosteen Exports to China Amid Supply Shortage During W45

In W45, Indonesian mangosteen fruit exporters experienced a surge in demand from Chinese importers willing to pay high prices for both air and sea shipments. This heightened demand is, in part, due to a shortage of supply from Thailand. During W45, exporters sold their products in the range of USD 8.31 to 8.95 per kilogram (IDR 130,000 to 140,000/kg) for air shipments and USD 6.71 to 7.03/kg (IDR 105,000 to 110,000/kg) for sea shipments, both in CFR terms.
