Indonesia Starts Chicken Exports to Singapore

Indonesia exported 50MT of chicken meat to Singapore as Singapore is looking for new chicken suppliers since local prices surged significantly due to export restrictions on usual suppliers in Malaysia. Due to a drop in local supply, the chicken price in Singapore increased from USD 2-3/kg to USD5-7/kg in the past couple of months. The Indonesian government supports the initiative to export chicken to Singapore, and producers are getting certified to meet the country’s standards to start chicken exports to Singapore.
