Indonesia commemorating Plantation&Spices day

Published Dec 15, 2021
Indonesia ministry of agriculture marks a milestone in commemorating 64th national plantation day, by putting spices from Indonesia in the spotlight in an event at scenic Danau Toba establishment from December 10 to 12. Indonesia government with advice from Indonesia's president Joko Widodo have stepped up attention to the sector, driven by vast export value of Indonesia spices including peppers, cloves, cinnamon, nutmeg in raw/semi/deep processed into oils, previously overshadowed by palm oil sector. Key exporters of the commodities however are still reluctant and even skeptical to the initiative as the government has been passive to assist exporters by far.
