Iran to stabilize red meat prices through guaranteed purchases

Red meat prices have been increasing recently in Iran caused by high prices of animal feeds such as corn, barley, and soybean meal which in the majority are imported.
The government will provide guaranteed red meat purchases in order to maintain balanced prices and has already done with 4,000 tons of purchases.
The country has produced 40 KMT of red meat during the sixth month of the current fiscal year, Aug 22 - Sept 21, and by the end of the current year, the expected output is said to reach 880 KMT.
