Iran's animal feed imports decline by over 10% in the period Mar-Oct '20

Iran has imported 8.5 million tons of animal feeds during the first seven months of the current fiscal year, March 20 - October 21, which represents a decline of more than 10% compared to the same period last year. According to the Iran Feed and Grain Importers Union, the country had imported 9.5 million tons of animal feeds last year same period.

During the same period, there are 5.9 million tons of corn imported which represents an increase of 20% compared to last year while barley imports are at 1.1 million tons and it's in decline by 40% compared to the same period last year.

Soybean meal and soybean imports are also reported to have declined in the same period as the main reason is explained to be problems related to logistics obstacles.
