Italy has experienced an invasion of Blue Crabs in recent months, presenting an export opportunity for the country. Importers from Korea, Thailand, and other Southeast Asian nations have shown interest. This influx of Italian crabs may impact the demand for Bahraini and Tunisian blue swimming crabs. However, there are concerns about the quality and supply stability of Italian crab exports, as Italy is not traditionally a crab export market and lacks experience in this sector. As of W37, Tunisian and Bahraini crab export prices have remained stable, but booking inquiries for September and October shipments have declined, possibly due to importers awaiting clarification on the quality and supply from Italian exporters.
