Supply of Kenyan Smooth Cayenne remains steady. The 2022/23 season started in November in the coastal region and is expected to last up to February 2023. Farmers in Kilifi are selling their fruits at USD 0.41/piece (Ksh. 50) while farmers in Kiambu are selling at USD 0.77/piece (Ksh. 93). For the suppliers sourcing from Kilifi and packaging in Nairobi, they incur extra logistic costs that bring the total sourcing price to USD 0.70/piece (Ksh. 85) for volumes above 5MT.
