KEPHIS and NFCPSA Collaborates on Adoption and Implementation of Electronic Phytosanitary Certification

Kenya Plant Health Inspection Service (KEPHIS) has launched the use of ephyto, an electronic system of facilitating the export of produce. KEPHIS and the Netherlands Food and Consumer Product Safety Authority (NFCPSA) have collaborated on adoption and implementation of electronic certification to have a paperless certification. The electronic certification guarantees that the conditions in the consignment are met. This will eliminate fraud in paper phyto generation experienced in the country.
