Largest potato processing manufacturer invests €25 million in expanding capacity

Patatas Melendez, Spain's largest potato processor announced a €25 million investment to double its current production capacity until the year 2022. Last year, the company processed 180,000 MT of potatoes, this year they are aiming at increasing this amount to 215,000.

Most production will be to cater for the domestic market and depend less on imports from France or the Netherlands, however, the goal is to export at least 25% of the products.
