The price of the Low Fat Desiccated Coconut (LFDC) has started to rise since producers managed to sell their inventories. The manufacturers have started offering stock from their new productions. The new offer price is up about 14% from the bid price from the beginning of this month, but is still approximately 17% lower than the price at the beginning of this year. LFDC prices have been under pressure since the end of the 2nd quarter of 2022 due to declining export market demands. The manufacturers expect prices to continue to rise, though not to levels previously seen in the beginning of 2022.
