During the last week (11/30 to 12/4), the demand for apples was slightly more reduced compared to the previous ones. According to wholesale agents in the market, consumer purchasing power has remained limited, reducing demand for apples in retail and, consequently, in the South graders. In addition, the availability of stone fruits and the entry of some volumes of early apples from Paraná and Minas Gerais, also triggered a small competition with the fuji and gala varieties.

Even so, the sale of apples continued quite well, considering now stocks of the fruit remain restricted. That being said, the fuji caliber 165 Cat 1 was sold at R$ 101.11 / box of 18 kg, in the average of the classifying regions, a slight drop of 1% compared to the previous week.

Limited supply should also collaborate in the negotiations of those that remain in the market for the upcoming weeks.
