The Lindi union warehouses in Tanzania are expecting increased sesame seed volume in the auction held on June 17th, 2022 compared to the previous auction. The reason behind the increase in volume is the auctioned prices of sesame seed during the first auction on June 11th, 2022, which was between TSH 3015/kg to TSH 3025/kg. Farmers were satisfied with the high auction prices. As a result, due to the high auction prices, warehouses are expecting a double in quantity compared to the 170 MT received during the previous auction on June 11th.
