Main export destinations for Turkish olives are Germany, Romania and Iraq

Turkey has exported 60% of its olive exports to Germany, Romania, and Iraq. The country has exported 84 kmt of olives for an export value of 146 million USD in the 2019 - 2020 season.
Germany was the export destination with an export volume of 42.5 million USD. Germany has nearly 4 million Turkish immigrants living in the country which is the main reason behind the demand for Turkish olives in the country. 35 million USD of olive exports to Germany was black olives whereas 7.5 million USD worth of olive exports were green olives.
