Major seaport in Bulgaria marks first corn exports from new harvest

One of the major seaports. Varna, in Bulgaria, has marked the first corn export shipments from the newly harvested quantities. As of the 20th of September, there were 55.3K MT of corn, which represents an almost 65% increase compared to the same period last year.

On the other hand, wheat exports from the same port mark a decline of 50% compared to last year with 353.8K MT as barley exports mark an increase of 90% with 65.7K MT compared to last year's 34.6K MT.

Varna seaport is responsible for about 50% of the total wheat and corn exports and around 30% of all barley, sunflower seed, and rapeseed exports.
