The largest producing region of mate in Brazil, state of Rio Grande do Sul, is witnessing a sharp fall to 225 thousand tons this season, a 25% decrease compared to the year before. On the other, farmers are benefiting from a price uprise of 50%, driven by an incrase on demand.
