The melon season of 2022/2023 in Brazil started with fields that had to go through some late rains in August, causing some fruit quality issues and the appearance of mold on the fruits. As of W37 onwards, those issues seem to be diminishing, and fruit quality is estimated to improve on its arrival in the Netherlands, providing European customers with the expected and proven quality of Brazilian fruits. However, this could be a big concern among Brazilian growers experiencing high production costs to offer their customers the best fruit at a reasonable price.
